South Korea's top security officials have agreed to closely monitor the situation regarding North Korea's launch of projectiles,... under close coordination with the U.S.
An emergency meeting, chaired by national security adviser Chung Eui-yong, was held at the presidential office this morning,... shortly after North Korea fired the projectiles.
According to Blue House Spokesperson Ko Min-jung,... they assessed the North's intentions behind the launch as well as the general security situation surrounding the Korean Peninsula.
They agreed to maintain thorough surveillance and readiness.
