U.S., Japan confirm N. Korea's firing of short-range projectiles

The U.S. and Japan have both confirmed North Korea's firing of short-range projectiles.
In an email interview with Seoul-based Yonhap News Agency, a senior Trump administration official said... Washington is aware of the situation,... but declined to comment further.
A senior Japanese official told Tokyo-based Kyodo News... that Japan assesses the projectiles to be short-range missiles.
But the official added the missiles had no impact on national security as they didn't reach Japan's Exclusive Economic Zone.
