From the 1955 film Lahn Al Wafaa (Melody of Faith) starring Abdel Halim Hafez in his first film role and Shadia as a couple who are in love but adverse circumstances do not allow them to marry. In this scene Abdel Halim's adoptive father has just announced his engagement to Shadia, this upsets Abdel Halim who is in love with her himself.
The dancer here is Ragaa Youssef, she is dancing at an engagement party. Ragaa Youssef began her career in the Akef circus as an acrobat and appeared in about 25 films. Her sister Awatef Youssef was a circus acrobat and dancer as well and they often danced as a duo. Awatef retired early and Ragaa Youssef went on to produce and act in several films. She married director Ahmed el Nahas. Ragaa Youssef died in 1992
