Year's first heatwave warning issued in Seoul

It's a little past seven in the morning and already we can feel the heat in the air.
No wonder to that. A heatwave warning will be issued for Seoul at 10AM this morning as the day time highs in some areas of this country are expected to reach 35 degrees Celsius.
Lee Jee-hyun joins me from the weather center. Jeehyun, I'm afraid to ask. How intense is this heat going to be and what are some precautions we should be taking?
Good morning. As you said, a heat wave warning will take effect from 10 am, that's in less than three hours from now. This year's warning comes 11 days earlier than last year. Seoul could reach 34 degrees Celsius. Parts of Gangwon-do and Gyeonggi-do Provinces will also deal with sweltering heat.
It's essential we take precautions during the summer heat. Stay hydrated and avoid caffeinated drinks and stay out of the direct sunshine.
