Following strong winds and thunder, a heavy rain warning has been issued here in Seoul as well as central regions including South Chungcheongnam-do province.
The Korea Meteorological Administration warns that the Seoul metropolitan area could see up to 80 millimetres of rain per hour until late at night.
The monsoon season is expected to last for another ten days.
Running an emergency service system as of 10AM Saturday,... the safety ministry has warned local governments to prepare for possible damage and to tighten access control to valleys and beaches.
