South Korea's exports dropped for the fifth consecutive month in July due to the global pandemic but returned to a single-digit decline at seven percent.
According to the trade ministry on Saturday, the country's outbound shipments came to around 43 billion U.S. dollars last month, down from seven percent posted a year ago.
Such performance came as exports of computers and chips advanced over the period... jumping over 77 percent and around six percent respectively.
Imports shed almost 12 percent last month to around 39 billion dollars... leading to a trade surplus of around 4 billion dollars.
