Good morning. We need to brace fo sweltering heat on this Thursday. Yesterday's highs didn't rise as much as we anticipated, but the peninsula is set to sizzle with heat wave advisories expanding to more areas, including here in Seoul.

Along with the heat, strong July sun will beam down boosting UV rays to very high levels, while Jeju will have the highest UV rays today. Take precautions against UV exposure with sunscreen, wide-brimmed hats and sunglasses.

It's a nice breezy start to the morning, Seoul and Busan starting the day at 21 degrees Celsius, but the readings will soar fast.

Get ready for the heat wave... top readings will be 5 to 6 degrees higher than yesterday as temperatures are expected to hover near or above 33 degrees Celsius this afternoon.

The heat is going to intensify and Saturday is forecast to be the hottest day of the season with temperatures reaching 34 degrees.
