UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres has lauded Sunday's meeting of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un and U.S. President Donald Trump at the inter-Korean border.
A statement released on Monday said the UN chief welcomed the meeting that took place in Panmunjeom.
It said Guterres was particularly happy about the prospects of Pyeongyang and Washington resuming working-level dialogue.
The statement said he "fully supports continued efforts of both sides to aim to move towards, peace, security and complete and verifiable denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula."
