The floor leaders of the nation's five major political parties adopted a joint statement, expressing their support for the North Korea-U.S. summit.
The statement included their hope for the meeting to set a new milestone in denuclearizing the peninsula.
The leaders said the summit should take place based on the strong alliance between Seoul and Washington, adding that close cooperation with neighboring countries will be necessary down the road.
