South Korea has readjusted its travel alerts on 16 countries.
The government raised the level on several areas in Burkina Faso from 2 to 3, advising all South Koreans to leave.
It follows the kidnapping of a South Korean traveler in the country in mid-April, who was rescued through French operations a month later.
Seoul also raised the travel alert on a few areas in Nigeria, Djibouti and Ethiopia from level 2 to 3, due to frequent attacks and violent crimes.
Myanmar's Rakhine State received the highest travel warning of level 4, due to armed forces' attacks last month.
Travel alerts on Belgium and Barcelona were dropped from level 2 to level 1, thanks to the local authorities' counter-terrorism activities.
