North Korea is continuing to release reports about the ongoing drought in the country and the resulting damage to crops.
In an interview with the regime's state-run Korean Central Television on Sunday, the vice director of the North's agriculture institute said crops are being damaged nationwide due to the lack of rain.
He called on people to secure as much water as possible and finish planting rice paddies as soon as possible.
He stressed how workers should adopt scientific farming methods to minimize the impact of the drought.
