A series of powerful tornadoes whipped across America's Midwest this week, killing at least three people in Missouri and destroying buildings and homes
At least 20 people were treated for injuries in Jefferson City and emergency officials went from door-to-door searching for survivors.
The Missouri Department of Public Safety says power lines are down and it advised people to stay away from the damaged areas.
In the town of Webbers Falls, Oklahoma, a mandatory evacuation order was issued as a result of flooding from the Arkansas River described as a "life threatening situation" by officials.
Two wayward barges slammed into the Lock and Dam 16 due to the flood but local officers said the lock was not damaged.
