The fires burning in the three west coast states of the U.S., as of Saturday, have led to the deaths of at least 28 people since mid-August.
That's the figure according to CNN, which includes two deaths from the day before a one-year-old baby in the state of Washington, and a 13-year-old boy in Oregon, who died taking refuge in a car.
There are close to a hundred fires burning in the three west coast states, including California, burning an area almost a fifth the size of South Korea.
Thousands of people have had to evacuate in Oregon, where officials say they're preparing for a "mass fatality incident" based on the number of buildings that have burned.
