Lok Sabha Elections 2019 Phase 4 Voting: West Bengal BJP to approach EC over violence in state
  • 5 years ago
Unruly scenes and violent clashes emerged from West Bengal once again. Asansol sitting MP Babul Supriyo was heckled and he complained that BJP agents were removed from polling booths forcibly. The MP's car was vandalised, a stone hurled at the windshield of the car shattered it. The TMC, in its version, claimed that Supriyo's men had instigated the crowds by threatening them and by using foul language. The TMC told the Election Commission that Babul Supriyo had barged into a poll booth along with his security and argued with the polling agent when he confronted him.
