Tours to southern side of JSA to resume on Wednesday

Tours to the southern side of the Joint Security Area,... which had been halted since last October,... are to resume from Wednesday.
Seoul's defense ministry said the tour was halted due to demining operations and the withdrawal of military posts in the area.
Both are seen as integral parts of the inter-Korean Comprehensive Military Agreement signed last September aimed at disarming the JSA, which is located in the Demilitarized Zone.
The ministry also says it's working with North Korea and the UN Command to allow visitors to access to the northern side of the JSA.
South Korean nationals can apply for the tour online through the National Intelligence Service website.
Foreigners can apply through tour agencies listed on the NIS or the Unification Ministry's Office of Inter-Korean Dialogue websites.
