S. Korea to introduce stronger restrictions on diesel cars' emissions to tackle fine dust
  • 5 years ago
South Korea is rolling out stronger restrictions on diesel emissions to tackle the fine dust crisis.
The Ministry of Environment says the government will start a 40-day legislation notice period on Monday to set new standards for nitrogen oxide emissions of diesel-powered vehicles.
The new regulations are expected to more accurately measure emissions as they will check numbers while the vehicles are actually are on the road,... unlike the in-house testings of the past.
The ministry says it will continue to set stronger regulations to reduce fine dust.
