Korea subject to 40 import restrictions from the U.S. in February

South Korea faced a total of 196 import restrictions in February, with the highest number coming from the U.S.
According to the Korea International Trade Association, 40 restrictions came from Washington, of which 30 were anti-dumping investigations, eight were countervailing duties and two were safeguards.
Steel and metals had the most import restrictions, with 28,... followed by electronic goods.
The association attributed this high number of restrictions to Korea's industrial structure, which is similar to that of China,... saying Korean products are exposed to U.S. regulations targeting China.
India had the second-most import restrictions on Korean goods, followed by China and Turkey.
