North Korea is holding major party meetings to discuss its future policy direction.
Pyeongyang's state-run Korean Central News Agency reports... that Kim Jong-un presided the meeting of the ruling Workers' Party Central Committee's Politbureau on Tuesday.
He urged the officials to be (quote)"self-reliant," which is seen as an expression that refers to surviving the ongoing sanctions.
The agency says North Korean ruling party's central committee is expected to announce future policies on the economy and possibly denuclearization at a plenary meeting on Wednesday.
And these decisions will be ratified by the North's parliament -- the Supreme People's Assembly -- on Thursday.
