First female president elected in Slovakia

Anti-graft lawyer Zuzana Caputova made history over the weekend,.. as she won Slovakia's presidential election,... becoming the first female head of state of the nation.
In her acceptance speech,.. the 45-year-old thanked the voters not just in Slovak,... but in Hungarian, Czech, Roma and Ruthenian,... in a show of unity with the country's minority groups.
Despite having very little political experience,... Caputova's anti-corruption campaign struck a chord in a country still grappling with the murder of an investigative journalist in February 2018.
Caputova won over 58-percent of the votes,... beating out European commissioner Maro Sefcovic .
