2009 నియోజ‌క‌వ‌ర్గాల పున‌ర్విభ‌జ‌న‌లో భాగంగా అప్ప‌టి వ‌ర‌కు గుత్తిగా ఉన్న ఈ నియెజ‌క‌వ‌ర్గం అప్ప‌టి నుండి గుంత‌క‌ల్ గా మారింది. గుంత‌క‌ల్లు, తాడిప‌త్రి నియోక‌వ‌ర్గంలో ఉన్న 9 గ్రామాలు, పామిడి మండ‌లం ఈ నియోజ‌క‌వ‌ర్గంలో చేరాయి. గుత్తి నియోజ‌క‌వ‌ర్గంలో గాదె లింగప్ప మిన‌హా మ‌రెవ‌రూ రెండు సార్లు గెల‌వ‌లేదు. గాదె లింగ‌ప్ప కుమార్తె నీలావ‌తి 2004 లో కాంగ్రెస్ ఎమ్మెల్యేగా గెలిచారు. ఇక్క‌డి నుండి ఒక‌సారి గెలిచిన నార‌య‌ణ‌ప్ప‌, మ‌రోసారి క‌ళ్యాణ‌దుర్గంలో గెలుపొందారు. ఇక్క‌డ ఒక‌సారి DK వెంక‌ట‌రెడ్డి మ‌రోసారి తాడిప‌త్రి లో గెలిచారు.
