he latest data released by the South Korean government shows... that Korea had the 74th highest concentration of fine dust out of 184 countries in 2017.
According to Korea's trade ministry on Sunday, the average level of particles smaller than 2.5 micrometers in diameter, or PM 2.5, was 25-point-1 micrograms per cubic meter in 2017.
China's figure stood at 53-point-5...and the United States at 7-point-4.
The ministry added that the government aims to decommission 10 old coal-fired power plants by 2022...to help deal with the country's chronic fine dust pollution.
