National Assembly holds Q&A session on economic issues
  • 5 years ago
On day three of the National Assembly's parliamentary questioning session... lawmakers will be questioning Prime Minister Lee Nak-yon and Finance Minister Hong Nam-ki, along with other related ministers about the economy.
At the center of the debate is likely to be the impact of the Moon administration's income-led growth policies,... including the double-digit hikes in the minimum wage over the past two years.
The ruling party is expected to defend the policies saying.... they will revive domestic spending,... which in turn will breathe life into the overall economy.
But the opposition is likely to claim that the rapid minimum wage hikes have burdened small businesses,... and hurt the job market as a result.
