Seoul's foreign ministry is preparing to launch high-level economic talks with the UK in preparation for the aftermath of Brexit.
A top officer said the ministry is working to hold the meeting by the second half of this year as part of its long-term efforts to minimize the negative impact on local firms doing business in that country.
With growing uncertainty on when and how the UK will leave the EU, the government hopes to turn the crisis into an opportunity for some 100 Korean businesses in Britain.
As a medium-term strategy, the ministry has installed a help desk at its embassy in London.
They plan to come up with a separate free trade agreement and an aviation pact with the UK.
