Mental Health Story of Mark Weisenburger

Do you know someone that suffers from stress, anxiety, burnout and/or feelings of depression? The World Health Organization calls stress “the health epidemic of the 21st century”. Hello, My name is Mark Weisenburger.

About a year ago from the date of this recording I was introduced to what is known as the gut-brain axis via a Facebook post. No I’m not going to get all technical on you. I will however give a very simplistic explanation. In recent years new science is showing that your mental health has as much to do with your gut microbiome as it does your brain. I sheepishly raised my hand by leaving a comment on his post, hoping he would reach out to me. Nothing!

So I forgot about it, until about eight months later, at which point I was reintroduced to the gut-brain axis. This time, without realizing what I was doing, I sheepishly raised my hand again.

I’ve never suffered from severe depression to the point of needing medication, at least not to my knowledge. However there were times in my life that anxiety and depression got the best of me. There would be days that I just wanted to stay in bed and not face the world, so that’s exactly what I did. I remember, my wife asking me on more than one occasion, as I was watching late, late night TV, “Aren’t you tired?” I answered, “ yes exhausted.” “Why don’t you go to sleep than”, she’d ask. My response was always the same, “Because I don’t want to have to wake up in the morning.”

I look back at that now and realize that I was struggling with mental health challenges, but thought it was just life. You see we didn’t talk about our feelings back then. But it’s okay for us to come out now. With Oprah, the Rock, Beyonce and others all talking openly about their mental health challenges, they have opened the doors for the rest of us.

I had similar experience and times throughout my life. This is why I sheepishly raised my hand. My introduction to the gut-brain axis taught me that I was dealing with mental health challenges and that it wasn’t my fault. Plus there was an all natural solution that could help me.

Because of my education into the gut-brain axis, I discover a product called the fundamental pack from Amare Global, a mental wellness company. This product helps restore the microbiome in the gut, helps with brain function and memory, as well as enhances the communication axis in between. Again avoiding all the tech. talk.

I have now been on this product for about 2 ½ months. Some of the mental wellness benefits I’m experiencing are, I have more energy. I’m more alert with better focus. I can work longer hours without mental exhaustion. I know, not sure if that’s a positive or not. I also enjoy better sleep quality at night so I’m more rested and less irritable in the morning.
