The Delhi High Court on Wednesday decided to defer the bail plea hearing of Jawaharlal Nehru University’s student union president Kanhaiya Kumar till February 29. Kumar was arrested over sedition charges. Kumar, in his bail petition said that he was a victim of conspiracy and was falsely implicated by "fabricating" evidence. Kumar also denied raising anti-national slogans and claimed that no charge under Section 124A of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) could have been made out against him.
