JNU Row: Supreme Court refuses to interfere in Kanhaiya Kumar's bail
  • 5 years ago
The Supreme Court on Friday refused to interfere in the matter of granting JNUSU president Kanhaiya Kumar bail. While Delhi Police have said that extension of custody is not needed, Kanhaiya is to continue in custody as he is yet to be granted bail. The Supreme Court has not denied Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) student Kanhaiya Kumar’s bail but has asked his lawyers to move the Delhi High Court. They were of the opinion that with lower courts available, there was no need to approach the apex court.
