West Bengal Transport Minister Madan Mitra, who was arrested by CBI in connection with the Saradha chit fund scam, was on Friday remanded to 14 days' judicial custody by a court.

Judge Haradhan Mukherjee of Alipore Court rejected the bail plea and remanded Mitra to judicial custody till January 30, 2015, while allowing the CBI to conduct judicial interrogation of the accused in the presence of a defence counsel between January 17 and January 24.
