After acrimonious discussions in the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) on regional lines, it was decided that the draft Telangana Bill will be debated in the assembly till Friday and the House re-convened after the Christmas break if necessary. Speaker Nadendla Manohar is to announce in the House on Wednesday the details of the debate and when the assembly session will resume, if need be, but the view of the Telangana legislators that the debate on the Bill has been initiated appears to have prevailed, at least as of Tuesday.
