NewsX Debate: CBI says Ishrat Jahan encounter was Fake

NewsX: Spelling trouble for the Narendra Modi government, the CBI on Wednesday held that 19-year-old Ishrat Jahan was killed in a "fake" encounter in 2004 and chargesheeted seven police officers in the case, saying it was a joint operation between Gujarat police and the subsidiary Intelligence Bureau (SIB).

Those against whom the chargesheet was filed for murder and criminal conspiracy include absconding Additional DGP PP Pandey and suspended DIG D G Vanzara.
