Ailing Shiv Sena founder Bal Thackeray has hit out at the BCCI and the Centre for giving a go ahead for the forthcoming India-Pakistan match series. In an editorial published in the Shiv Sena mouth piece Saamna, Bal Thackeray on alluding to Pakistan's role in the 26/11 Mumbai terror strike and the 2001 Parliament attack, warned that his party won't allow the upcoming series. Besides attacking the UPA and BCCI of turning into enemies of national pride for allowing the series, also lashed out at Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde for his statement to forget the past and play cricket with Pakistan. The proposed Pakistani tour in India begins December 25. The series would comprise three one-day international and two twenty20s.
