The ailing Shiv Sena chief, Bal Thackeray's health continues to be critical...Official sources say Thackeray's condition has slightly improved since last night. But the Shiv Sena patriarch remains under constant medical care and Sena sources on mum on whether he remains on life support. Meanwhile, Mumbai has come to a virtual standstill...hundreds of Sainiks have gathered around Thackeray's bungalow Mathushree where the police have had to construct a massive security cordon..Several shops across Mumbai have downed their shutters...and there is an undeclared bandh in areas such as Dadar in central Mumbai which are Sena strongholds. The city police has cancelled all leave....and is preparing for the possibility of a huge mass of Sena supporters coming onto the streets to express their feelings for the man many see as the father of the Marathi Manoos political plank.
