Sukma District Magistrate Alex Paul Menon may be the latest high profile hostage to be released in the last few months. But his release has left the government with a sense of deja vu, as they bend once again demands made by the Naxals. In the last seven weeks alone, the Naxals have kidnapped two Italians, one MLA and one district collector. In each case, the concerned state government has buckled before the Naxals - to secure the release of the hostages. The Naxals, it seems, have found a potent tactic.
