One hour to go before the Naxal deadline for the release of BJP MLA Jhina Hikaka ends, Major Gen GD Bakshi has moved the Supreme Court asking it to restrain the Orissa government from releasing jailed Naxals in exchange for MLA Jhika Hikaka. In his petition, Gen Bakshi has said that such an exchange displays lack of respect for men in uniform and he asks for standard operating procedures to be set down in such cases. The apex court is set to hear this appeal on 19th April.
