The Election Commission has made a mess of election process in the recent Telangana state Assembly elections. Apart from missing of voters, the mismanagement of electoral process by the EC could be witnessed in the counting of votes, which might have changed the fate of several candidates.A cross-verification of total votes polled in a constituency and the sum total of votes polled for all contesting candidates, including Nota, revealed mismatches, which could change the winner. For example, in the Dharmapuri Assembly constituency, the total polled votes as per the Election Commission data released to the media — were 1,65,209. The sum total of votes polled for all 11 contesting candidates and Nota in the Dharmapuri constituency was 1,65,747.

తెలంగాణలో అసెంబ్లీ ఎన్నికలు జరిగి టీఆర్ఎస్ ఘనవిజయం సాధించిన సంగతి తెలిసిందే. అన్ని పార్టీలు ఈ ఎన్నికలను ఎంతో ప్రతిష్టాత్మకంగా తీసుకున్నాయి. ఎన్నికల సంఘం పొరపాటుతో ఈ ఎన్నికల్లో కొందరి అభ్యర్థుల తలరాతలు మారాయి. ఓట్లు గల్లంతు అవడం ఒక కారణం అయితే, ఎన్నికల ప్రక్రియ నిర్వహణలో ఈసీ విఫలమైందనే వాదనలు వినిపిస్తున్నాయి. ఓట్ల లెక్కింపులో కూడా తప్పులు దొర్లాయనే ఆరోపణలు సైతం వినిపిస్తున్నాయి. దీంతో గెలవాల్సిన అభ్యర్థులు ఓడిపోయారు... ఓటమి పాలవ్వాల్సిన అభ్యర్థులు గెలిచి గట్టున పడ్డారు. ఓ నియోజకవర్గానికి సంబంధించి జరిగిన పునఃపరిశీలనలో పోలైన ఓట్లకంటే ఎక్కువ ఓట్లు చూపించడం విశేషం. నోటాకు పడిన ఓట్లను కలిపితే కూడా ఎక్కువగా ఓట్లు పోలయ్యాయి.దీంతో అభ్యర్థి విజయం తారుమారైంది. ఇలాంటి ఘటనలు చాలా నియోజకవర్గాల్లో జరిగినట్లు సమాచారం. దీంతో కొన్ని చోట్ల టీఆర్ఎస్ అభ్యర్థులు వాస్తవానికి ఓటమిపాలవ్వాల్సి ఉండగా అక్కడ వారు గెలిచారు.. మరికొన్ని చోట్ల కాంగ్రెస్ అభ్యర్థులు ఓటమిపాలవ్వాల్సి ఉండగా ఆ నియోజకవర్గాల్లో హస్తం పార్టీ వారు గెలిచారు.
