Pirates sign Kang Jung-ho to one-year contract

The Pittsburgh Pirates have re-signed South Korean slugger Kang Jung-ho to a one-year deal worth up to five-and-a-half million U.S. dollars.
The deal is for three million dollars plus two-point-five million dollars in performance bonuses,... meaning Kang will be given the opportunity to match the value of the club option the Pirates declined last week.
The 31-year-old was denied a U.S. visa in 2017,... following his third DUI arrest in December of 2016 and missed all of 2017 and all but 3 games in 2018.
