South Korea's foreign affairs minister says she thinks "there are good signs" on resuming denuclearization talks between North Korea and the U.S.
Minister Kang Kyung-wha said as such on her way back from her sitdown with the Russian foreign minister on Tuesday, but she did not elaborate on what these signs are.
The two reportedly discussed bilateral exchanges on various fronts, as well as the current situation on the Korean Peninsula and Russia's role in it.

"We agreed that we need to revive the momentum for dialogue and also discussed what kind of messages we need to send out as there are major summits ahead."

Meanwhile, Seoul's nuclear envoy Lee Do-hoon left for Washington on Tuesday morning.
There he will give a key note speech at a conference and hold a meeting with his U.S. counterpart Stephen Biegun.
