Indonesian passenger plane carrying 189 people crashes into sea

An Indonesian airplane with more than a hundred-and-80 passengers onboard crashed into the sea, shortly after taking off Monday morning.
Rescue operations are underway,... but there have been no official words on casualties.

A Lion Air passenger aircraft carrying 189 people on board crashed into the sea off the island of Java shorty after taking off from Jakarta on Monday morning.
The Indonesian Disaster Mitigation Agency said that the Lion Air flight JT610 lost contact with the ground control tower 13 minutes after takeoff.
Search and rescue operations are underway at the crash site. Bodies have been found, but officials are yet to identify any of them. According to the country's finance ministry, 20 ministry officials were on the flight.
"We have found a few IDs, passports, driver's licenses, health insurance cards, and bank account books. Today we have also been aided by the military and police, we have deployed 150 search and rescue personnel, and another 150 staff from the military and police."
Family members turned up at the Depati Amir airport in Pangkal Pinang where the plane was headed,... but no official announcement regarding the passengers has been released yet.
Identified as a Boeing 737 Max 8, the brand-new aircraft was bought earlier this year by Lion Air... and its flight captain and co-pilot together had a combined total of 11,000 hours flying time. The cause of the crash is still unknown, ...as the plane's black box has not been found yet.
