Kit car that took father and 11 YEARS to build is stolen

A father and son have been left devastated after a kit car they spent 11 YEARS and £20,000 building was stolen just days after it was declared legal to drive. Kevin Doyle, 62, bought the Mini-based ABS Freestyle to make as a bonding project with son Michael, who was just 14 years old at the time. The labour of love - affectionately named "Jaffa" due to its orange bodywork - faced numerous setbacks in its construction. But after spending thousands of pounds and more than a decade of work, Kevin was told the car was finally roadworthy on September 1.
