N. Korea's second in command visits Cuba to discuss bilateral relations

Pyongyang's second most powerful man has visited Cuba to discuss ways to strengthen bilateral ties.
The country's official news agency, Prensa Latina reported that Choe Ryong-hae..., vice chairman of the Central Committee of North Korea's Workers' Party,... met with first Vice President Salvador Valdes... to review the two countries' relations.
Choe later also discussed bilateral and international issues with Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez.
Watchers believe North Korea may be using the sour relations between Washington and Havana,... to gain an edge in negotiations with the U.S.
The visit could also be aimed at requesting a high-level delegation to attend the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the regime's foundation.
