Hello, I'm Michelle Park here with the latest weather update. Except for the eastern coastal regions, the heat wave continues to grip the nation. And on top of the heat,... we're getting sudden showers because of the unstable conditions in the atmosphere. Again, the whole country, leaving out Chungcheongnam-do Province, can expect rain through the rest of the day. And it's expected to focus more on Gangwon-do province into the evening.
More showers are expected tomorrow, but there's no heat relief because it won't rain long enough. It does look cooler, though, in Beijing and Tokyo.
Most regions will experience another tropical night tonight as Seoul begins the morning at 27 degrees Celsius.
Under the high humidity, Seoul tops 34 degrees in the afternoon as Gwangju peaks higher at 36 degrees.
The sporadic showers are expected to continue until Friday while the sweltering hot weather continues through next week.
