날씨: 계속되는 폭염에, 곳곳에 소나기

Hello, I'm Michelle Park here with the latest weather update. The nation is under mostly cloudy skies with sporadic showers. But we aren't getting as much as expected, so now it's just humid and hot as usual. Some regions in Gyeonggi-do and east of Gyeongsangbuk-do Province are under heavy rain alerts, so if you're near any creeks or streams, be careful because the water can rise rapidly. Most places will get between 10 and 60 millimeters of rain.

There are more showers in the forecast across the country of up to 60 millimeters tomorrow. But don't expect it to get much cooler. Beijing and Tokyo, where it's sunny again, can expect hot weather as well.

Tomorrow, Seoul gets up to 26 degrees Celsius, and mostly similar elsewhere between 25 and 27 degrees.

It's sticky and hot during the day,... Seoul topping 35 degrees, and a few notches off in Busan and Jeju at 32 degrees.

Daytime highs in the mid-thirties will continue through next week. If there is a change, it will be because of Typhoon Yagi.

The 14th tropical storm of the year, whose name is Japanese for "goat," is currently heading north towards Okinawa, Japan by this Sunday. Although its course could change, it's likely to keep heading north on the shore near Shanghai. This could bring us some relief from the heat.

I'll leave you with the weather conditions around the world.
