More progress in dismantlement of key facilities at Pyongyang's missile test site: 38 North
  • 6 years ago
Additional dismantlement has been observed at the Sohae Satellite Launching Station -- a site believed to have been North Korea's main ICBM test site.
Citing satellite imagery from last Friday, U.S.-based North Korea monitoring website 38 North says North Korea is ripping down the steel base structure of the vertical engine test stand used for developing missile engines.
Walls are also being removed at the transfer structure on the launch pad used to support rocket launches.
38 North says work on the engine test stand represents what Kim Jong-un promised to President Trump... but work on the launch pad goes beyond that commitment.
However,... it says these developments should still be seen as "first steps" as they could be reversed quickly.
