The number of patients with heat-related illnesses here in Korea has reached over two-thousand this summer... which is already well above last year's total of 15-hundred.
According the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on Sunday,.... 2-thousand-42 people have been diagnosed with heat-related illnesses... and 27 of them have died.
With more scorching temperatures in the forecast,... the government is advising people to stay cool and be aware of their body conditions.
Past data shows that half of heat-related illnesses happened in early to mid-August.
