Special constable left red-faced after being unable to deploy police stinger

A special constable was left red-faced when he failed to properly deploy a stinger while training a group of new recruits. The volunteer traffic cop was bringing the bunch up to speed when he flung the spikes to the floor - only for them to crumple in a heap. The trainees tried to stay composed but broke into fits of laughter just seconds later as they struggled to hide their amusement. Thankfully he also saw the funny side and hung his head in shame as he looked down at the stunted stinger. Footage of the blunder has since been viewed more than 2,500 times after a colleague posted it to the Herts Specials twitter page.
