Karnataka Elections 2018 | How Congress' quick action with JD(S) changed the game
  • 6 years ago
Tuesday was a day of fast-paced political developments in Karnataka. It began with the BJP workers celebrating the likely win as shown by the trends and ended with high drama at the Raj Bhavan. But Congress surprised everyone by revealing that they are forming a coalition with JD(S). Ghulam Nabi Azad spoke to Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi and both of them agreed on reaching out to JD(S). Azad, then called up former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda and his son Kumaraswamy. Azad also ensured Siddaramaiah’s presence when he and other senior Congress leaders went to meet Deve Gowda and Kumaraswamy. All eyes are now on governor Vajubhai Vala, who will decide which party gets the first shot at forming the government. Coming days promise more action, stay tuned in.
