Karnataka election verdict: Congress and JD(S) in talks, BJP falling short of midway mark
  • 6 years ago
In a surprise turn around, Congress and Janata Dal (secular) are now in talks to form an alliance. BJP has almost reached half the number of seats in the election, but fell short of the midway point of 112 seats that are needed for a majority out of 222 seats contested. Congress’ Ahmed Patel is reportedly flying to Bengaluru to hold talks.

BJP leader Yeddyurappa reportedly canceled his trip to Delhi.

The final verdict will be announced in a few hours.
