Learn How To Make Yellow Cucumber Chutney / Dosakaya Chutney with chef Lakshmi Only On Variety Vantalu.

Dosakaya Chutney is a traditional Andhra recipe popularly known as Dosakaya Pachhadi. No traditional Andhra Meal is complete without Dosakaya Pachhadi. It goes very well with Steamed Rice and Ghee. Here I have added Sesame Seeds to prepare this chutney to make it a little different.
Ingredients
Cucumber - 3 (Chopped)
Mustard seeds - 1 teaspoon
Green chilies - 5-6
Dry Red Chilies - 4-5
Fenugreek seeds -1/4 teaspoon
Turmeric Powder - 1/4 Tsp
Salt to taste
Tamarind paste- 1/2 teaspoon
Method:
1. Heat half the oil in a pan, Add 1 tablespoon Fenugreek seeds, Mustard seeds, red chilis and green chilis and roast them well.
2. Keep the tempering mixture aside and allow it cool down.
3. In a mixie jar, add tamarind pulp, green chilies, salt to taste, coriander leaves and turmeric powder. Grind it well.
4. If the chutney mixture is ground well, add tempering mixture, chopped cucumber pieces and again grind it coarsely.
Serve with hot steamed rice and ghee.
