At the National Assembly...
Korea's main opposition party highlighted the mishaps of the Moon Jae-in administration during its turn at the podium.
Giving his policy speech on Thursday,... Kim Sung-tae -- the floor leader of the Liberty Korea Party -- said the government's populist policies are raising concerns among the people.
He pointed to the recent minimum wage hike that's led to the firing of workers as small businesses aren't able to shoulder the financial burden,... as well as cryptocurrency regulations that caused huge price fluctuations.
Kim went on to say that two recent fires that took the lives of several dozens of people showed the incompetence of the government -- adding that it's not keeping its promise to create a safe country.
Regarding North Korea,... the floor leader said the nuclear problem is being overshadowed by the regime's Olympic participation -- stressing the government needs to step away from its naive stance of pursuing dialogue.
As for Constitutional amendment,... Kim said a revision must be made to reduce the president's authority -- as its a road to pursuing a mature democracy and overcoming imperialism.
