Liberty Korea Party urges government to listen to opposition to overcome lingering problems
  • 5 years ago
South Korea's main opposition Liberty Korea Party has slammed the Moon Jae-in administration,... accusing it of pushing the country into concern and fear.
In a policy speech on Thursday,... floor leader Na Kyung-won said the government is losing ground both economically and diplomatically.
She claimed the government is only interested at looking for irregularities from previous conservative administrations,... and said it needs to start listening to the opposition to overcome lingering problems,... including Japan's economic retaliation.
As for the recent DMZ meeting between the leaders of the two Koreas and the U.S.... she said nothing has changed as North Korea hasn't given up its nuclear weapons.
But she called for Seoul to actively push for regular reunions of separated families and letter exchanges.
Na also apologized to the people for taking so long to normalize the National Assembly,... vowing to make up for it by carrying out reforms in the political and judiciary sectors in a way that is fair.
