A US Coast Guard ice cutter broke through an ice jam on Saturday, January 27, that had plagued the Kennebec River in Maine, causing flooding in the area.A flood warning had been issued last week near Augusta, but it was rescinded once the river fell below flood level on Friday, a news report said.
